Background:
Robert Hirschfeld is Founder and Chief Architect Surgient (acquired ProTier  in 5/2003.  Prior to ProTier, Hirschfeld owned and managed Hirschfeld Consulting, a software integration and consulting practice. Previously, he worked in project manager/analyst roles at Laitram Corporation and Computerized Processes Unlimited . He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University. Hirschfeld is also a nationally published author including a monthly technology column for MidrangeEnterprise magazine and academic papers.
